HOUSEHOLD + CHILD + JOB = IMPOSSIBLE?

Many of us moms lead a kind of octopus-like life. We'd need at least eight hands to juggle everything we want to do at once: job, children, family, marriage, leisure, fitness, friendships, health, sustainability, and body mass index.

Even though we're capable of multitasking, biology sets certain limits. The logical conclusion: managing everything at once is virtually impossible. But our minds seem determined to stubbornly ignore this undeniable fact. "Can't be done?" "Doesn't exist!" We constantly strive for more, wanting to optimize ourselves and our lives. Sit back contentedly and be happy with everything we've already accomplished? Ha! We mothers might as well be buried alive. If this continues, we can soon strike the word "satisfaction" from the dictionary. It's no longer enough to have a stable marriage OR to be super slim and fit – and each of those things is an achievement in itself. But no: we mothers want everything at once, preferably right now, immediately.

Do you know that feeling? Just wanting to press the pause button and lie on a deserted South Sea island beach? Then you're just like me and more than half of all women and mothers who suffer from stress. Slowing down is the only solution. Taking time for your body and soul and recharging your batteries. My advice: either quickly refuel your private jet – or, much simpler and cheaper – enjoy a Yakult at home. And ideally, do this before the kids are standing in front of you in their pajamas in the morning. Enjoy a few minutes to yourself and simply do nothing before setting the breakfast table and everyday life takes over again.

I like the Japanese drink Yakult I love having this for breakfast. It's my go-to wake-up drink after I've had a glass of water. It's not too sweet, fruity and refreshing – exactly to my taste.

Eighty years ago, Japanese scientist Dr. Minoru Shirota developed the fermented beverage Yakult based on his research and founded the Yakult company. Yakult is a fermented drink made with skim milk and at least 6.5 billion Shirota bacteria, which are valuable lactic acid bacteria. These bacteria were discovered almost 85 years ago, and since then, these unique Shirota bacteria have been the subject of continuous research.

Yakult comes in three flavors: Yakult Plus (with vitamin C and fiber), a light version (reduced calories), and my personal favorite, Yakult Original. You can find all the important information about Yakult here. here.

My top 5 morning fitness tips with Yakult

These are the 5 tips for a relaxed morning, which I want to share with YOU, in the order I do them every morning when I get up BEFORE my children. I'm assuming a day that starts as a mom at 6, 6:30 or 7 a.m., and you have to get up because your child needs to be at kindergarten or school on time, and you can't, like some other people, stay in bed longer and start the day later.

5 Morgen-Fit-Tipps für Mamas mit Yakult und ein gesundes Walnuss-Brioche Rezept

Tip #1 – Something I do first thing in the morning: I get myself a glass of water!

I have a large 500 ml glass and fill it with still water. You can also use filtered or bottled still water. Drinking a glass of water boosts your metabolism, flushes out toxins, helps prevent bladder infections, and makes your hair and skin glow.

Tip 2 – Stretch!

Stretch and extend yourself. I personally start with the sun salutation. A gentle backbend, stretch your hands all the way up, then bend forward and fold your knees inwards, so to speak, with your nose towards your knees. Stretch and extend yourself, it feels so good. The sun salutation is the perfect start to the day if you want to do something for your body and mind first thing in the morning.

Tip 3 – Turn on your favorite music!

Positive texts can help you banish a bad mood in the morning. Don't listen too loudly, otherwise you'll end up waking everyone up prematurely. Music relaxes you and puts you in a good mood.

Tip 4 – Start the day with a delicious, energy-packed breakfast and Yakult!

If you want to start your day with these fresh Walnut Brioche Recipe Once you start, you have almost everything you need for a perfect start. You can easily prepare them a day in advance or simply freeze them and bake them later when you feel like it. They're made with whole wheat flour and walnuts, which is good for our brains. I like to drink a bottle of Yakult with them, because... Yakult is a great way to start the day.

Tip #5 – Something I find very important as a mom is – Get dressed and ready first thing in the morning!

Of course, you can also stay in your comfy loungewear, not wear makeup, and just twist your hair up. I've done that too. That's perfectly fine, and there's no reason not to feel comfortable. But I've noticed that when I simply get ready in the morning—shower, get dressed, style my hair, apply a light tinted moisturizer and a little blush—I feel like, "Yes, now I'm ready, and the day can begin!" Plus, I'm prepared in case the bus to school is canceled and Mom has to step in as a taxi.

May your day begin pleasantly and continue that way!

  2. I get up, have a cigarette, go to the bathroom, and get ready. If I manage to do it before work—I usually wake up between 4 and 6 a.m.—then I either go for a walk, do some shopping, clean, bake… and then head off to work. I can't name a favorite kind. Best, Tine
